Whats Up- Blogville Idols

I've been terrible with my blogging because I have been on the move these past few weeks. I was on holiday then got stuck at my holiday destination (not that I was complaining ;)) due to Visa issues. These Romanian peeps are as dodgy as my beautiful Nigerian airport employees. Apparently I overstayed my welcome in Romania because I was given misleading information at the embassy in Nigeria and so on my way out, I was told I wasn't welcome back and that I had to also pay a fine if I wanted my name not to be written in some 'black book' of visitors not allowed back into Romania. So I payed and left and had to sort out a new visa before returning. If I could get money for every visa issue and embassy I have been to on this programme, I would be rich. Anyhoo I'm back and am counting down my weeks here. Can't wait to go back!

Blogville Idols begins on the 7th of July and I'm excited. You see I don't have much to do here lol so this will bring some comic relief. Goodluck to all the contestants. Geisha I've got your back since you requested for a vote. Is soliciting for votes allowed? Lol.

Sugababes in Romania

I was minding my own business yesterday, working really hard (chatting on msn with a friend) when two of my colleagues approached me with a proposition....Lets go watch sugababes in concert....ever so casually. Does anyone realise what a big fan I am? Yes I am, bite me. I think the girls have great voices, all one hundred of them who have been in the group and it was a chance to see the new girl and what she had to offer.

When we got to the concert...pause...Nigerians need to take a cue from Romanians because everyone went as they were, no fancy dressing up etc because its just a concert! Anyway there were a few Romanian gigs before the girls came on and I completely understood what it felt like for foreigners when Dbanj et all performed before Beyonce and Jay-z at the Thisday concert lol! I didn't gerrrit but it was fun.

Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah, did not disappoint and I think the new girl, Amelle has a smashing voice! Its too hot. In another life, I could have been a lesbian I tell you. They performed most of my favourite songs and I would have loved to hear soul sound or promises but I guess they have many more preferred sounds now. Anyway they ended with 'About you now' and its crazy the things you do when you hang with Caucasians. I was jumping like an idiot. It was a good work out anyway.

So that's impromptu things can be over here I guess.

Life after the detox: I have no interest in certain foods anymore. After seeing crap come out of you, you'll definitely be more careful about what you eat. I've been eating veggies and fruit and have adopted the healthy habit of breakfast smoothies with all natural fruits and veg. Its delicious and good for you. There are several recipes on the web so try one out tomorrow morning. All you need are some fruits and/or veggies, some honey and a blender.

How Adverts/Commercials can be deceiving!

When I got to Romania, this was the first Ad I saw on TV. I was so excited...people danced on the streets! And for no apparent reason! You know I'm a great dancer so I was ready to go out there to booogy down. I put on my dancing shoes and ran out to the center and was suprised by the silence. There happened to be hundreds of policemen all satring at my lovely shoes. Alas Bush had also just arrived for the Nato conference so I think he ordered to Romanians to stop dancing on the streets. That is the only conclusion I can draw.



Then I saw this next ad and knowing Romanians are hospitable, seeing as this guy came allll the way to welcome his new neighbours, I waited and waited for my neighbour to bring me delicious pie. I waited till I was on the brink of death.....



Lol, this is another ad that haunts me in the middle of the night. WTH is this child singing like that in the background. It reminds me of all those horror movie sound tracks from when we were young. Very eerie.



All failed, I couldn't dance, was hungry and scared but this ad made me chuckle.



I can't wait to go on my break on saturday! Have a great week all.
