RIP

I have internet access, yay!

So sorry for the lack of postings last week. I was a bit apprehensive and didn't have it in me to post till I got a result, positive or negative. Well I thank God for bringing me through on a positive note.

I have been out of it but I just saw on the news that there has been another plane crash! What is happening!! This is the same time of the year the previous crashes happened. Can't the pilots control the planes during bad weather? I mean, other planes took of around the same time too i'm sure. Or are these planes just too old? Why hasn't something be done to prevent further crashes after a whole year. Lets watch all the hoo haaa end again and we will go right back to being passive about it all. I'm really sorry for our country oh. This is just too much. When is enough going to be enough?

Anyways I'm off to bed, I have a big day tomorrow. Have a lovely day.

UPDATE: HERE IS THE MANIFEST

To see that Abdurahaman name four times is heartbreaking. What is a mother to do?

I am really tired and I actually forgot to say sumink about the crash... heard about it this afternoon and it's been on the news all day... the Sultan of Sokoto was on the plane, he's been buried...

May all their souls rest in perfect peace... AMEN

This is getting really REALLY scary!

Congratulations on the job Taurean. You know I hear that most of the planes in 3rd world countries are usually those that the developed countries do not want to use any longer. scary!

And the strike really does sound like a good idea but with all the business men running helter skelter...people will suffer for it more! Only God can save us.

I had to call my mom ASAP to make sure she or anyone we personally knew wasn't on the flight. It's a tragedy that this happens so often in Nigeria and upon all the talk talk that Obasanjo has done about making sure air travel is safer, nothing is better. I know for a fact that no one is regulating anything! Maybe now that some prominent people have passed, they'll actually do something.

Have a good week.

@ Thanks Buki, I will
@abbey, I know..but even the local aviation industry would have to do something about it if no one flew for a few days. See how they just shut PH airport and are not even working on it. The people in charge make such bad decisions.
@ms.may, I hope no one I know was on it either but Nigeria is small, we will end up knowing ppl by association
@toyine, I heard it was shortly after take-off. It prob human error but who knows. I wish more had survived instead of a measly 5 or so.

These planes falling off the skies in Naija is no more a laughing matter oh. Something serious has to be done and fast!!! Roads r bad...the air is rejecting our planes...wat is naija coming to

Congrats on the job !!

the news about the plane crash is very very sad, how many times before something concrete is done about this. This just goes to show that even the rich and those in power still suffer from the corruption in Nigeria.

Congratulations on the Job sweetie. I had no doubt in my mind that you'd get it.

It's the best darn news I've heard today, what with the shadow of the crash looming so largely over us all.

I'm so sick of all the noise we make just when it happens and more so when "important" (I put that in quotes, 'cos every human life is important) figures are involved and a few months down the line, our memories are wiped MIB style and we go on like all is well with the world.

I'm with Lanrefellow, Borisade should just quit. He's absolutely inept. Even if everyone else shuts up about these issues, he more than anyone should make it his business to see that things are running smoothly.

The boycott would be good if you can get Nigerians to co-operate, which IMO is harder than getting a Camel through the eye of a needle

It is difficult to deal with the death of one child much less 4.

This reminds me of the Sosoliso crash last year where one woman lost 3 children.

At the service they had, she carried their pictures and walked/twitched all the way across the field to her seat. She looked broken. It broke my heart. Still does because I remember it vividly.

And to think that this is going to happen to someone else. Hmmm. No words. No words. No words.

Congrats girl on getting the job. you deserve it. Remeber ur first salary is ours...... (smile) Are you going to be based in Sweden now or the naija branch of the company?

so sad to hear about the crash especially that poor couple that lost 4kids. Please dont saay her hubby was there in the aircraft too? My friend was telling me agter the sosoliso crash in PH that she and her husband have resolved not to travel together or with the kids so if anything happpes, the other partner will be left to take care of the kids. Its so sad about that deputy gov & his wife dying together leaving young orphaned kids most likely.

May all the souls of those in that illfated aircraft - Rest in Perfect Peace. Amen.
