Just got back to Nigeria this morning at 6am slept for a few hours and got to work at 1 pm.
So the biggest news I've heard so far, aside from the dead generals, may their sould rest in peace is that the Beyonce Jay-Z etc etc gbo gbo e concert is N100,000 for VIP and N25,000 for the masses. Venues not yet known but apparently the N25,000 one may be in stadium. Laugh my m***$###@@@@ a** off! So I know i'm not going to be there VIP OR MASSES! N100,000 my A**

What was the average pricing for past performances? I kinda like the fact that it might be as rowdy as them Usher kinda concerts.

This is ridiculous. Was speaking to my friend about it and even though he can more than afford the tickets, on principle he is not going. It is silly. During low season there are some tickets to jand for N100,000. What nonsense!
Stadium for S25,000??? The official release said the concerts will be at ocean view. Ocean view is not that big so how do they expect to pull it off? Well I guess with the price range it won't be too packed. It's not like you get a 3 course meal with the 100k o! Highest you'll get is champagne(and NOT a whole bottle)
The funny thing is some silly guys are going to beg, borrow or steal just to say they were there. Anyway heard they are going to have viewing stations around the country where you can pay a token fee to watch on large projector screens(I think the stadium is one of such venues)
Oh and by the way, VIP tickets are normally 15k(sean paul) and Joe(10k). A couple of years ago when Joe first played on Val's day it was 50k(for a table). This is WAYYYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO MUCH. That is like $800, ah han and they will only do a couple of songs each.

About the ticket prices, honestly it seems exorbitant but I kinda understand where they are coming from
The artiste and venue fees must have been sky high considering the calibre of performers
The Akon, Usher, 50 Cent and Eve concerts were all marred with serious security problems as in all sorts of horrible things happened to people so I guess they are investing a lot of the money in security….
I feel bad for a lot of guys…by the time they buy one for their gf and for themselves – thts 200,000k….tht said a lot of people will still buy the VIP tickets

...in fact the price is getting me angry..it's not as if I'm paying the 25k/100k for jayz to come and sing right in front of me, or into my ears are they mad? 100k is £400 what does vip include?...They are thieves, as in i thot he was on a UN charity tour...hiss anyway its not him i blame its the blood Nigerian Breweries or whoever is sponsoring this event.

25k is a whole lot though, but I rather pay that than to see some area thugs ruffing/raping our girls (free view for that matter), gettting your N20k - N40K phone stolen, after serving you a N60k slap and 10naira "OYA RUN COMMOT FOR HERE BEFORE I OPEN MY EYE" as desert! The N100K ticket is reserved for certain peeps. And I was told Stadium et al are suppose to be the viewing centres (not confirmed though.)
Very pricey though, I agree, but look at the long term result.

Like Bella said though, the artistes would've charged an arm and a leg to come to naija.
Also if you think about it, besides Jay Z's hard knock life tour and Dre's up in smoke, how many other concerts (besides those award shows can boast of all these artistes on the same stage?
